Hello Rowe School families!
The time for school is almost here! The first day of school is Wednesday, August 27th. School starts promptly at 8:25, with drop-off beginning at 7:45. If your child eats breakfast at school, please arrive by 8:15 so we can start the day on time.
The first week, students will dismiss at 12:30 Wednesday Thursday and Friday. Starting Tuesday, September 2nd, regular hours are 8:25 to 3:20, with a 12:30 release on the first and third Fridays of each month.
Families picking up students should follow last year’s pickup lane procedure. Bus routes will be sent home and posted on our website as soon as we get them. Be on the lookout for more detailed information in an email to all families in the next day or two. More information will also come home with your child on day one.
Finally, please join us for the PTP Ice Cream Social on Monday, August 25th at 2:00 p.m. at the school—we’d love to see you there!

Sorry to reach out on a Friday evening. I heard from a few families that they received a vague text related to their student's attendance. We have been working to set an attendance notification system up, but I apologize, I wasn't aware it was going live today. I've reached out to our IT guy, and I'll get back to everyone to let them know what I hear.

The short story: This Friday, April 11, is a full day of school. Next Friday, April 18, is a 12:30 release.
The long story: When we made up the 2024-2025 school calendar last summer, we had the wrong week noted for vacation. We had marked the week of April 14 as vacation, with a 12:30 release on Friday, April 11. When we corrected that mistake, and made clear that vacation is April 21-25 (that's clear now, right?), we forgot to move the 12:30 release from 4/11 to 4/18. We're correcting that now.
Happy MCAS Day, and please be careful driving to school today, it's a little slick up in the hills. The Highway Department is out, but it's snowy and a little slippery. See you soon.

The bus company informed us that the Mohawk bus is running thirty minutes late, which means the elementary bus will be late as well, by about the same amount of time. Please be safe, and call with any questions.
I apologize for the late notice, but due to the continuing snow in higher elevations and the challenging conditions on some of our dirt roads, Rowe School is canceled today. We'll see you all tomorrow.

Hello, Rowe families, it's Bill with a quick message about skiing and snowboarding. Tomorrow, Friday, 11/22, is the deadline for sign-up sheets and money to be turned in for the ski and snowboard program in January. We want every student who wants to ski or snowboard to have the opportunity. If money is the issue, give me a call, and we'll figure it out. You can call Laurie if you have a question about the form. More information is coming soon about the alternative Winter Enrichment activities for those who choose not to ski or snowboard.
